TOUR 1
HD - KUTNA HORA - UNESCO LISTED TOWN
Kutna Hora was one of Europe´s largest cities in the 1300s, and an important silver-mining center. All that wealth built some of the finest Gothic architecture in Bohemia. The town contains 300 protected historic monuments. During the walking tour through the town we will show you the most important places including the Church of St.Barbara, a jewel in the crown of Gothic architecture the world over, the Royal Mint that once produced Prague groschens, the gothic Fountain and other gothic monuments. Also worth seeing is the Sedlec Ossuary. The interior decorations of the Ossuary are made almost exclusively of human bones. It is estimated that the remains to some 40 000 people were used to decorate this Ossuary.
